Kacey
Kacey is a Certified Advanced Professional Groomer and is the creator of Kacey's K9s that she opened in 2021.
" My passion and love for animals especially dogs, started from a very young age. I was raised in a crazy household full of dogs, lizards, parrots, rats you name it. My house definitely wasn't a quiet one growing up.
My previous careers never fulfilled me and left me feeling lost. I realised in my early 20's that I would never be fully satisfied in a career, if it didn't involve animals and this is how I stumbled into dog grooming.
I attended a dog grooming taster day. I remember leaving and thinking wow, that was hard work and I stink! Fast forward a few years... I couldn't picture doing anything else as a career. I was made for this job!
I am always looking at new ways to better my skills and learn even more about dogs. This is why I am currently studying my Masters with the International Certified Master Groomer (ICMG) association. ICMG is a globally recognised association with a difference. An important part of the qualification is continuing education. "

(Sophie manages her own clientele within Kacey's K9s premises under the name 'Sassy Paws by Sophie')
"I always knew I wanted a career that involved animals since my love for them began at a young age.
After, working at the RSPCA my plan was to go to university and study a Zoology & Conservation Degree to continue helping animals in need.
A few months before starting, I found a job I would enjoy to help me get by until my degree began. This is how I entered the world of dog grooming.
And ever since then, my passion for dog grooming has grown more and more each day. I never thought I would have a career that didn't feel like a job; I feel blessed. I love everyday with the dogs.
I further my education continuously by attending seminars, competitions and I am working towards my professional qualifications with the International Certified Master Groomers Association."
